My Story

My experience teaching Chinese language and culture in the U.K. began in 2019 when I coordinated and delivered Executive Program “Chinese Language and Culture for Business” including monthly HSK preparation support, at the London School of Economics. I also tailored and delivered Mandarin classes combined with cultural lectures to London-based corporates such as the Bank of England, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Huawei, WorldFirst (Ant group) enhancing students’ intercultural communication skills both online and on-site. Additionally, I presented at Chinese-themed events, sharing insights into traditional Chinese culture with government organisations such as the Cross-Whitehall China Network and companies such as Deloitte and HSBC, thereby contributing to increased cultural awareness within these organisations.

As Senior Language Tutor at the University of Manchester since 2023, I was entrusted with the important responsibility of training Chinese language teachers and developing course curricula. In addition, I oversee the administration of HSK and YCT tests at Manchester CI, and organise Mandarin clubs and enrichment courses in five schools across Manchester, including Rochdale Sixth Form College, Stockport Grammar School, Our Lady's RC High School, Lowry Academy, and Moor Allerton Preparatory School.
